Survey

The National Institute for Young Adults will be presenting our application to operate a public charter high school in Baltimore City under the Public Charter School Act of 2003. It is our intent to give the community sufficient input to the Baltimore City Military Academy (BCMA) so that you can fully understand its structure, purpose, goals and objectives.

Between now and June 31, 2012, we will be scheduling community discussions to inform and interest parents of high school students in the Baltimore City District about BCMA. We have already begun collecting letters of support and letters of intent to establish a public charter military academy.

We ask that you answer the following four survey questions, which will help to establish the community’s desire to see a public charter military academy in your district.

  1. Would you like to see a public high school that focuses on character, discipline, academics, and service to your community?
    Yes
    No
  2. Do you have students in your household that will be in grade six through eleven beginning August 2012?
    Yes
    No
  3. Would you be interested in having your student attend a public military high school academy?
    Yes
    No
  4. Would you like us to contact you regarding your student’s interest in attending the Baltimore City Military Academy in the 2012 school year?
    Yes
    No

This survey is the start of a process which hopefully will result in the functioning of a public charter military academy in Baltimore City. If you would like to view the entire survey brochure, click here. Please contact us at niyausa.org or call us at
